For edentulous patients (those with no teeth), full dentures—also known as palatal prosthetics—are fitted to the upper and lower jaws, providing both esthetic and practical solutions.

How Is It Applied?

Full Dentures: These are crafted over approximately five sessions, including impressions, fittings, and adjustments, typically completed within two weeks. Additional appointments may be scheduled if needed.
Fixed Prosthetics: Designed for permanent use, fixed prosthetics function like natural teeth.
- Crowns: A single tooth with significant loss is reduced in size, and a custom crown is cemented over it using a special adhesive, non-removable by the patient.
- Bridges: Missing teeth are restored by using adjacent natural teeth as support, creating a fixed bridge that ensures both functionality and esthetics—a highly preferred option.
Removable Prosthetics: Used when fixed solutions aren’t viable due to extensive tooth loss.
- Partial Dentures: Applied when some teeth are missing, completing the gaps with a metal framework and acrylic teeth for an esthetic look.
- Full Dentures: Used for completely edentulous jaws, typically made from acrylic for durability and natural appearance.
Implant-Supported Prosthetics: Implants are surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as artificial roots. Prosthetics are then attached, allowing patients to use them like natural teeth with a seamless feel.

After Your Prosthetic Treatment

Hygiene After Prosthetic Dentistry

Clean full dentures with water, soap, and a brush—avoid toothpaste. Use a regular or specialized denture brush, or opt for effervescent cleaning tablets by soaking the prosthetic in water with the tablet for effective hygiene.
